Dorcus Cox Fellows, age 90, of Florida, formerly residing in Flora, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Dorcus was a member of Flora First Christian Church and retired as Head of Food Services for Flora District Schools. She kept in touch with many of her Illinois friends after moving to Florida in 2014.
Per her request, Dorcus will be cremated and no visitation or services will be held. Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of choice.
Dorcus is survived by daughters: Deborah Dehart and Pamela Fellows; four grandchildren: Jason (Erin) Dehart, Heath (Addie) Dehart, Nicole (Craig) Iannello, Nathan (Alena) Fryburger; three great-grandchildren: Layla, Corbin, Gavin; two sisters: Sue Mulvaney and Shirley McElyea; three sisters-in-law: Doreen Cox, Dorthy Cox, Alice (Dick) Schaffer and many nieces and nephews.
Dorcus was born December 19, 1930 and lived in Salem, Illinois during most of her adolescent years. She was united in marriage to Roger E. Fellows on July 02, 1950. They were married for 35 years before his passing in 1985. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger and nine brothers and sisters.
