2021 05/28 – Edward Joseph McKeon

Edward Joseph McKeon, 75, of Kinmundy passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021. Edward was a proud United States Army veteran, serving in Vietnam as a sergeant. He was an active and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 126 in Jensen Beach, Florida, where he served as a former commander. He was an Accredited American Legion service officer and graciously used his training to assist fellow veterans and their families. Edward worked the polls in Martin County, Florida. He loved the game of football cheering his favorite team, the New York Jets, on to victory ever since he was a boy. Edward was down to earth and had the ability to make anyone he was around feel welcome and at ease.

Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia is privileged to be assisting the family of Edward McKeon with arrangements. A celebration of life service will be held privately by the family. Memorials may be made in Edward’s honor to the Family’s Wishes and will be accepted for the family at the funeral home. He married the love of his life, Sherri Stubbings on May 12, 2013 in Stuart, Florida and she survives him in Kinmundy. Along with his wife, Sherri McKeon, survivors include his beloved family, daughter, Jennifer Butterworth and husband Thomas of Tennessee; stepdaughter, Julie Ann Jones and husband Jonathan of Iola; grandchildren, Jonathan Jr., Faith, and Ava; and brother, James McKeon.

He was born on August 4, 1945 the son of Joseph and Dorothy McKeon in Brooklyn, New York. Edward was preceded in death by his parents.
