Salem Police arrested 56-year-old Eric Hout of Jones Street in Mt. Vernon for possession of 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine following an early Thursday morning traffic stop.  Hout was initially stopped because of a malfunctioning signal.  He allegedly had spread the meth around the floor board to try and get rid of it.  A total of 25 grams was recovered.

A 46-year-old Centralia man was arrested in Clinton County on a no bond Marion County major traffic warrant.   Jesse Kempfer was later transferred to the Marion County Jail to await a first court appearance.

29-year-old Merissa Sligar of Phyllis Drive in Centralia was given a notice to appear in court after being arrested by State Police for possession of methamphetamine under five grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving on a suspended license.

40-year-old Sean Gaul of Kingshighway in Odin was arrested by Salem Police for driving on a suspended license.  He was released on a notice to appear in court.
