The Salem Wildcats knocked off visiting Olney at the Salem Soccer Complex 2-1. The Wildcats trailed 1-0 late in the first half when Payton Gullion was fouled just outside the penalty box setting up Nate Lowry’s free kick that he split the wall and curved into the back of the net. Salem found the back of the net late in the opening half on another Lowry goal assisted by Kam Rasul. Salem gets some time off before they take on Murphysboro on Tuesday in River to River play.
The Mt Vernon Rams are at Massac County.
