The Salem JV Wildcats traveled to Murphysboro and came away with a 32-6 JV win over the Red Devils.
Eli Purdy had 2 touchdowns for the Cats. Caiden Washington, Ben Lux and Dakota Wiggins also scored. Tanner Purintun added 2 PATs.
The offensive line dominated the line of scrimmage led by Hayden Thompson, Elijah Garrison and Izaiah Woods.
The defense forced 3 turnovers on downs. Tyler Fay and Gino Monroe led the charge up front with multiple tackles for loss from Emit Gibson, Brayden Smith, Chris Linder and Logan Williams.
The freshmen will travel to Herrin Thursday for a 6:30 start.
