Salem Community High School has named its son and daughter of the American Revolution Award winners for the 2026 and 2027 school year.

The SAR winner is Mekhi Moore, the son of Erica Moore of Salem. The DAR winner is Sydney Clark, the daughter of John and Stephanie Clark of Iuka.

Both winners were selected by teachers and peers. The award is given to a student who exemplify outstanding qualities of leadership, dependability, service and patriotism.
