Three people have been sentenced to prison after entering guilty pleas in Marion County Court.
28-year-old Sharesa Houser of Foxville Road in Centralia was sentenced to three years in prison, to be followed by six months of court supervision, after pleading guilty to aggravated battery. Houser admitted to impeding the normal breathing of another woman in a July 24th incident. She was given credit for 63 days already served in the Marion County Jail. Houser faced an extended-term sentence because of a prior Marion County felony conviction.
25-year-old Aryana Morgan of North Hickory in Centralia received two-year prison terms after pleading guilty to felony domestic battery and felony retail theft charges. Morgan will be placed on four years of mandatory supervised release when getting out of prison. She admitted to striking a family member with her hand in an August 26th incident. The domestic battery charge was elevated to a felony due to a prior aggravated battery conviction in Marion County. Aggravated battery and criminal damage to property counts were dropped as part of the plea in the domestic battery case. A second felony theft charge was dropped in the theft case. Morgan was given credit for 18 days already served in the Marion County Jail.
64-year-old Gay Walker of North Cherry in Centralia was sentenced to two years in prison followed by six months mandatory release after pleading guilty to possession of a controlled substance. She admitted to having possession of less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine on July ninth. The charge was a felony due to a prior Marion County felony case. As part of the plea, Walker was sentenced to time served on a petition to revoke her probation on a misdemeanor theft conviction.
