St Mary/Willow Grove got a walk-off triple from Destiny Black to walk off their regional championship game against Albers/Damiansville 5-4 at Kaskaskia College in 8 innings. Vayda Mullinex-Davis had 3 hits including a triple. Hanleigh Schmidt and Black drove in 2 runs each. Devyn Dodilet-Tomlianovich struck out 13 in her 8 innings of work. The Wildcards advance to the Class S State Tournament that will open up next weekend.
Raccoon is into the Patoka regional final after beating Rome 14-9 yesterday. Raccoon took the lead in the first on a big hit from Lily Wynn to score 4 runs. Amyah Williams went 1-4 in the game and drove in 2 with RBI also from Kloey Wuehler, Emerie Cluck and Mya Hanke. Nadea Crist was the winning pitcher allowing 3 earned runs striking out 10. Haylee Long took the loss for Rome allowing 7 earned and striking out 9.
They will advance to Tuesday’s title game against Patoka who eliminated Iuka 10-0 in the first semifinal. Khloe Wadkins went 3-3, Adley Martin went 2-4 with 3 RBI and Clair Payne had 2 hits. Lilly Krajefska led Iuka with a hit.
