Early voting is now underway for the November 3rd general election.
Marion County Clerk Steve Fox says you can vote from eight am to four pm Monday through Friday any day the courthouse is open. Early voting is set up outside his office on the second floor. It continues through Monday, November 2nd.
Fox has also announced the Marion County Clerk’s office is presently accepting applications by mail or in person for vote by mail voting. It is reque4sted that vote by mail ballots be placed in the mail by October 26th or delivered in person to the county clerk’s office at 100 East Main Street in Salem room 202.
Grace period registration and voting is available for voters who fail to register or update voter registration by the October 6th deadline. The applicant is required to register and vote the same day in the county clerk’s office. Grace period voting is from October 7th through November 3rd.
There will also be a temporary voting site at the Centralia Township Office at 148 South Poplar in Centralia on Wednesday, October 21st and October 28th from nine am to three pm. Grace period voting will be available November 3rd form six am to seven pm.
