Barbara “Jody” Glenn, 64, of Mount Vernon, IL, went to be with her Savior at 4:42 pm September 1, 2026 at home with her family by her side, in Mount Vernon, IL. She was born April 9, 1962 in Salina, KS to Raymond Behner and Elvate “Bonnie” (Sims) Behner. Barbara “Jody” married Larry Glenn on October 20, 2003 and he survives her.
In addition to her husband Larry of 23 years; Jody is survived by her Siblings, Geneva “Genny” Mary Jauch (Mark) and Randal “Randy” Jay Behner, Niece, Christina “Christy” O’Connor (Stephen), Nephews, Kenneth “KJ” Behner (Jessica), Trent Jauch (Brigitte), Craig Jauch, Andrew “Drew” Behner (Victoria); Daughters Briana “Bri”, Megan Perez (James), Tasha Marie, Ivey (Charles), Casey Nicole Blandfore (Andrew); 8 Grandchildren, Elise “EJ” Jolene Anderson, Scarlett Joanee Ivey, Liliana “Lili” Margaret Ivey, Charles “Bubby” Taylor Ivey, Abigail “Abby” Pryor Ivey, Phoenix Orion Perez-Southers, Sophia Rose Ivey, and Lucinda “Cindi” Roisin Blandord; Brother-in-law, Mike Glenn (Donna), Mark Glenn (Leasha); Sister-in-law Michelle Burwell (Jerry); Bonus Daughter Kim Arbuthnot (Pat); Bonus Grandchildren Kaylan Derrington (Sam), Braden Mackenzie (Nicole), Morgan Mackenzie; Bonus Great Grandchildren Liam and Lucy Derrington.
In addition to her parents Jody is preceded in death by her Brother, William Thomas Behner (Sharon ); Niece, Amber Hubbard (Sam); Granddaughter, Juniper Rose Blandford and Bonus Son, Bobby Glenn.
Jody was known for her crafty and creative nature. She was always trying to learn how to make new things, from wooden flower arrangements, crocheted name shawls, candy bowls made of real candy, to homemade butter and vanilla. She brought that same creativity to problem solving, creating solutions with limited resources at work, home and for family and friends. She loved spending time with her family, her absence will create a void that can never be filled for those who knew and loved her
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
