A pair of local golfers helped Olivet Nazarene University open its 2026 fall season with a pair of team championships at the Bill Johnson Memorial in Kankakee.
Salem’s Taylor Ice, a Salem High School graduate, captured medalist honors in the women’s tournament, making one of the biggest moves of the final round to win the individual championship. She birdied 3 of her last five holes to win the title. The ONU women dominated the field, winning the team title by 26 shots.
On the men’s side, Christ Our Rock graduate Parker Boehne fired an outstanding nine-under-par 63 in the final round to help the Tigers erase a four-shot deficit and win the team championship by 10 strokes. Boehne finished regulation tied for the individual lead with teammate Luke Martin, forcing a playoff. Martin went on to win the individual title with a birdie on the playoff hole.
A strong opening tournament for Olivet Nazarene—and an impressive start to the fall for two local golfers in Taylor Ice and Parker Boehne.
