Della was a member of the Apostolic Church of Salem. She was a secretary and treasurer of the First Pentecostal Church for over 50 years. She loved the Lord and loved serving him to the max. She loved witnessing to others and inviting them to church. She was an avid altar worker and loved picking up kids for church and her car was always packed with kids. She was the dietary manager for Twin Willows until she retired. She was known as an awesome cook.
She had three nieces that were a highlight to her, they lived in Joliet and every summer they would come and spend the whole summer with her and she placed a lot of morals in their lives. All of her nieces and nephews were very special to her and she loved them all the same.
