The Bobcats had a big offensive day yesterday rolling Aviston 15-3. Nolan Krutstinger had a 3-run inside the park home run, a 2-run double and RBI single as he drove in 6 total runs. Easton Keller had 3 hits including a double and triple with 2 RBI. EJ Wolfe had 2 hits and 3 RBI, Noah Smith singled twice. Easton Henson singled and scored twice with a RBI, Maxsen Tiemann singled home a run while Jasen Lindsey and Lewis Eddy each singled and scored twice. Keller got the win with Henson throwing in relief. Salem is 5-3 on the season. Franklin Park plays at Vandalia this afternoon.
Noah Cain struck out 10 as Patoka beat South Central 6-4. Jayden Gullion took the loss going 3 innings allowing 5 runs on 5 hits. Nolan Eddy drove in 2 runs for Patoka. Drake Carbaugh went 3-3 and John Garrett added 2 hits.
The Iuka Pirates beat Central City 7-4. Zachariah Jones was the winning pitcher allowing 2 hits and 2 earned over 4.1 with 8 ks. He also had a big day driving in 2 runs. Jace Bopp went 2-3.
In other baseball action, Lebanon 13-0 over Carlyle, Nashville beat Centralia 9-3, North Clay 14-4 over CHBC and Olney beat Mt Carmel 9-6.
