The Kaskaskia College Blue Devils opened their basketball season in impressive fashion Tuesday night, putting on an offensive show in their first game inside the newly constructed Bradford National Bank Arena.
KC rolled past the junior varsity squad from Missouri Baptist, picking up a 106-77 victory behind a game-high 38 points from Dhani Flannigan.
Flannigan set the tone early, pouring in 23 points in the first half to help the Blue Devils build momentum. Mason Williams added 14 points, while Jaden Williams finished with 13.
Nathanial Marlow and Maddox Ritzel also made solid contributions, reaching double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively, as KC showcased its offensive depth in the season opener.
Carlos Baylark led Missouri Baptist with 16 points, including three three-pointers.
The Blue Devils will look to keep the momentum going Wednesday night when they return to Bradford National Bank Arena to host Lincoln Land. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
