Jerry Wilson Timmons, Sr., born on December 31st, 1941, in Centralia, passed away on Friday, August 21st, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia. Jerry lived a full, vibrant life over 84 years, leaving an indelible mark on his family, friends, and community. He is the son of Ira Timmons and Margaret (Allen) Timmons. He married Joyce Timmons on July 4, 1964; they later divorced, and she preceded him in death on June 12, 2009.

Jerry had a welcoming nature, and his generosity was unmatched. Jerry prioritized hard work and had a tremendous work ethic in which he instilled upon his family. When Jerry wasn’t working or watching Wheel of Fortune, he was deer and mushroom hunting, spending time tending to his strawberry field, and playing cards with his friends.
Jerry is survived by his loving children: Jay Timmons of Odin, Misty Bateman of Odin, and Travis Timmons and wife Melissa of Junction City, as well as his stepdaughter Robin Wilbur of Sandoval. He is also remembered fondly by his brothers, Ed Timmons (wife Sharon) of Wamac and Jeff Timmons (wife Sheila) of Cheyenne, WY, and sisters, Diane Horn of Port Huron, MI, Sue Owen (husband Larry) of Centralia, Cheryl Timmons of Walnut Hill, Tammy Beppler of Flora, and Paula Heminover and husband Merv of Salem. Jerry was a proud grandfather to Brad Timmons, Stacey Timmons, Dakota Timmons, Zach Timmons, Jaydon Bateman, Bryleigh Timmons, Kylie Watson, Kaiden Watson, Hunter Timmons, Aliyana Timmons, Hannah, Kylee Sonny Starr, Harlie Harper and Jacob Wilbur, and great-grandfather to Sage, Hannah, and Kylee, as well as a great-great-grandfather to Kaden, Clayton, Chloee, Holdyn, Aurota, Dax, Reed, Emerson, and Nymirr; and his special friend: Deloris Wilbur of Junction City.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Bob, Ira, Hobert, Bill, Steve, Larry, Rod, Terry, and Tim Timmons, his sisters: Pat Vinson, Nancy Thompson, Fonda Timmons, and Joann Timmons, his granddaughter: Madyson Marie Bateman, and son-in-law, Jerry Bateman.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in memory of Jerry on Saturday, August 29th, 2026, at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Centralia’s Shop With A Cop, a cause close to Jerry’s heart.
