A member of the Sandoval School Board has resigned.  Joe Lyons, who is also Sandoval Police Chief, officially stepped down at Monday night’s meeting.  The board went into closed session to interview four candidates to replace him.  No decision was made, but a special school board meeting has been set for September 8th to seat the new member.

The board voted to remain in the OKAW Area Vocational program for the current school year and approved bowling as a new junior high sport.

The board hired former aide Brianne Haltenhoff as a certified teacher for junior high special education.
