A barn owned by Tony and Lisa Miller on the 3800 block of Green Ridge Road in rural Alma was destroyed by fire late Tuesday night.
The barn was fully engulfed when Kinmundy-Alma Firemen arrived on the scene. They called Salem for mutual aid assistance to allow firemen to rotate out due to the extreme heat.
The barn was too heavily damaged to determine the cause of the fire.
The barn was used mostly to store wood and other items. There was no equipment or animals inside.
The fire was hot enough to singe siding on a nearby garage.
There were no reports of injuries.
