A 34-year-old Pontoon Beach woman was arrested by Salem Police late Wednesday night for domestic battery following an argument over a missing phone at a home on Delmar Avenue. Police were initially called by a juvenile who said someone was attacking his mother. After arriving on the scene, Kayla Cook allegedly swung and slapped the alleged victim while police were watching. Cook was taken to the Marion County Jail to await court action.
Wamac Police arrested 32-year-old Dalton Bressler of James Street in Wamac for alleged domestic battery and resisting arrest. Dalton was taken to the Marion County Jail to await court action.
Four others were arrested on outstanding warrants.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jamaad Gardner of South Sycamore in Centralia on an outstanding Marion County felony failure to appear no bond.
Centralia Police arrested 31-year-old Cottrell Goodwin of East Howe Street in Irvington on an outstanding St. Clair County no bond major traffic warrant. He is awaiting transfer to St. Clair County warrant.
Salem Police arrested 21-year-old Payton Carter of Warren, Ohio on an outstanding Vermillion County warrant for retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Carter is being held pending transfer to the Vermillion County Jail at Danville.
Salem Police arrested 22-year-old Alexavier Miller of South Second in Centralia on an outstanding Bond County. Bond County officials instructed that Miller should be released on a notice to appear in court.
