The Salem Community Activity Center is preparing for its biggest Community Garage Sale yet.
Chamber Executive Director Marcia Auvil says the event is set for Saturday from eight to one at the Community Center.
“We have more than 50 tables in the cafeteria; we have got a dozen tables in our first-floor meeting room, we have another 60 or 70 in the gym, and we even have some vendors who have agreed to go up to the second-story meeting room. We’re actually offering an opportunity to shoppers to climb up to the second floor to put their names into a drawing for a free rental.”
Auvil says items range from clothing, games, and crafts. Snow’s BBQ food truck will also be there for those who would like a bite to eat.
Auvil says the event has been growing every time it is offered twice a year.
