The Senior American Legion State Baseball Tournament began on The Hill in Aviston yesterday with 4 opening round games.
Aviston trailed early, but bounced back and beat Rantoul 10-5 in the final game of the day. They advance to Friday’s 2:30 winner’s bracket game against Palos who beat Rock Island 7-5. Danville won the opening game 8-2 over Alton and will play Galesburg tomorrow after their 13-0 win over Carol Stream.
Today will be a pair of loser bracket games with Danville taking on Carol Stream at 5pm followed by Rock Island and Rantoul at 7:30.
