The debut of the locally produced movie ‘Scream Fitness’ is scheduled for Thursday evening at the Salem Community Theatre. Doors open at 6:30 and the film starts at 7 p.m.
The ‘Outcast’ production crew has been working on the film for the past six months. It features 14 actors who were or are still in the Salem Community High School theatre program.
Scream Fitness is a fan film of the 1996 cult classic Scream and draws heavy inspiration from the original plot, parodied by adding weightlifting and gym-related humor to the story. Scream Fitness is a film that follows a group of lifters as they witness mysterious murders in their town. Sid Prescott is one of the targets. Can he survive and figure out who is behind all this and why?
Directors and camera operators are Conner Teriet and Payton Phillips.
The cast includes Melanie Knaak, Cole Wimberly, Benjamin Teriet, Rylan Lawson, Conner Teriet, Ethan Baldridge, Gavin Buchanan, Brayden Harris, Payton Phillips, Brody Elwood, Keegan Rinehart, Ethan Crouse, Hayden Hopkins, and Brayden Smith.
The movie is rated PG-13.
