The Sandoval Village Board has agreed to provide tax increment financing assistance to help SerenityPass Holistic Health renovate their existing building and purchase the former Taylor Maid building next door. The new building would house an herbal supplement and health food business.
The estimated cost of the project is $120,000, split at $60,000 for each of the buildings. The village agreed to provide $20,000 in TIF funding to each project for a maximum of $40,000.
The Sandoval Board has also received a TIF application from the Crossroads Tavern. They wanted TIF funding to pay for all of a $266,000 renovation and expansion. The board will work with the owners to see if there is a viable project TIF would provide only part of the funding.
The public works department is tentatively scheduled for street oil and chipping for August 5th and 6th. Most of the work will be patching.
