The Odin School Board accepted a number of resignations and filled numerous openings during its meeting this week.
The board hired one of its graduates, Blake Uchitjel, as the new agriculture teacher and FFA sponsor. He comes to the school with five years’ experience and a master’s degree.
The board hired Samantha White as special education teacher for kindergarten through second grade. She will also serve as assistant junior high school softball coach.
Another Odin High Grad, Ethan Finckbone, has been hired as physical education teacher and will also serve as assistant junior high school basketball coach.
The board hired a number of coaches and extra-curricular sponsors.
- Heather Day will be high school girls’ golf coach and boys’ assistant coach.
- Patrick Dagg will serve as a volunteer assistant junior high coach.
- Paraprofessionals Pamela Barackman and Ashton George will be the coordinators of Prom.
The board accepted the resignations of counselor Tippy Harmann, Michael Wright as physical education teacher and paraprofessionals Aaron Grapperhouse and Kayla Winchester.
