The Kaskaskia College Cross Country program is gearing up to host one of its signature summer events as the 9th annual KC Blue Classic 5K Run/Walk returns to the college’s main campus on Saturday, August 1.
The morning begins with the 5K Run/Walk at 7:30 a.m., followed by the Kids Fun Run Mile at 8:30 a.m. The event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and experience levels, making it an opportunity for both competitive athletes and families looking to enjoy an active morning together.
Participants who register will receive an official race T-shirt, and awards will be presented following the event. Organizers are also offering a virtual participation option for those unable to attend in person, while walkers are encouraged to take part as well.
The annual Blue Classic serves as a fundraiser for the Kaskaskia College Cross Country program while promoting health, fitness, and community involvement throughout the region.
