The South Central Storm softball organization will hold tryouts for its travel softball teams on Saturday, July 19, at Webster Family Park in Kinmundy, with Salem graduate Delaney (Kell) Heinzmann set to lead the organization’s 12U team.
Heinzmann, a Salem Community High School graduate and former standout at Southeast Missouri State University, currently serves as the head softball coach for the Odin/Patoka/Sandoval co-op.
The 12U tryouts are scheduled from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., running alongside the 11U session. Tryouts for the 8U, 9U and 10U teams will be held from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., while the 13U, 14U and 16U teams will take the field from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
Players interested in joining the SC Storm program are encouraged to attend the appropriate tryout session for their age group as the organization prepares for the upcoming travel softball season.
