In the opener the Cougars got on the board with 6 runs in the opening inning which they extended to 7-0 in the second. Robbie Petrea and Vince Krajefska had 2 hits each for Salem. Kellen Nix went 1-3 and drove in a run.
In the 2nd game the Cougars once again had a big inning scoring 6 runs in the fourth. Trygg Aaron drove in a Salem run. Dakota Gregg and Matthew Carter had hits for Salem.
