2021 05/14 – Helen Fay Teets

Helen Fay Teets, precious mother and grandmother, age 74 of Salem, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. Helen was a member of Regeneration Church of God in Salem and Gospel Lighthouse Church in Odin. She faithfully volunteered her time at the Helping Hands Food Pantry. Her greatest joy came from taking care of her kids and grandkids.

Funeral Services for Helen Fay Teets will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Regeneration Church of God, 521 Commercial Street in Salem with Brian Mixon officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be in Sursa Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Memorials can be made to the family and can be left at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family. She is survived by her children, Mary Lane of Salem, Letha Lane and husband Alan of Mt. Vernon, Robert Manley of Salem, John Manley and wife Lynn of Kentucky and Billy Manley of Salem; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, William F. “Bill” Green of O’Dell, and Jeff Funkhouser of Mississippi; and several nieces and nephews.

Helen was born on August 30, 1946 in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Bill and Wanda Louise (Coberly) McCarthy. She married Grant Teets and he preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Grant; grandson, Germi Lane; and siblings, Becky Funkhouser, Larry Green, Sue Tingle, Donnie Funkhouser, James Funkhouser, Theresa Ann Nelson, Janice VanGilder, and Sammy Funkhouser.
