Wanita dedicated many years of her life to working at Illinois Bell Telephone, which later became AT&T, where she cultivated wonderful friendships and left a lasting impact. A committed and active member of the 1st United Presbyterian Church, Wanita was deeply devoted to her faith and community service. Her passion for exploring the world took her on numerous travel adventures and nature tours, experiences she cherished and fondly shared with family and friends.
Wanita was also an esteemed member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority and the Pioneers Telephone Country, where she made lasting contributions and lifelong friendships.
Her memory will be lovingly cherished by her cousins, Gail and Vickie Brandol of Centralia whom she resided with for the past 3 1/2 years and her other cousins, Kenneth Brandol and wife Mary of Westerville, Ohio, Becky Spieser and husband Dan of Sandoval, Mike Brandol and wife Annie of Huey, Jennifer Pinkerton and husband Roger of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Laura Miller of Ohio, and Jimmy Brandol and wife Erin of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan P. Brandol and Lena (Koelmel) Brandol.
A viewing for immediate family is scheduled at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm on Monday, May 18th, 2026. Following this, a graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Centralia from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm with Chaplain Joannie Naraghi officiating.
