Gerald Wehrheim, 87, of Centralia passed away Friday, May 8, 2026. He was born on October 9, 1938, in Evansville, IL, the son of Elroy and Elba (Billimack) Wehrheim. He married his true love, Cathy Revermann and she survives him in Centralia.

Survivors include his wonderful, blended family, six children, Kathy Smith and husband Matt, Lori Davidson and husband Tom, Kevin Wilken, David Wilken, Scott Wilken and wife Donna, Lisa Metcalf and husband Lonnie; many beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jennie Kohlberg; his twin sister, Geraldine Calvert; brother, Frank Wehrheim.

Gerald was a United States Army veteran, faithfully serving with honor and pride during Vietnam from 1961-1964. He was a member of the Centralia American Legion Post 446 for sixty plus years. Gerald worked for Linkon Auto Supply for twenty-five years. He was well-known and a friendly face to all while working at Dobbs Mahon Auto in Centralia. Gerald was an avid fisherman who enjoyed time spent on the water. He appreciated the benefits of a good walk, always on the lookout for someone to say hello to and visit with. Gerald was kind, loyal, friendly and the joy of everyone who knew him.

A private graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. Memorials may be made in Gerald’s honor to the Centralia Youth Center and the Centralia American Legion Post 446 and will be accepted for his family at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home 234 South Elm St. Centralia, IL 62801.
