A 33-year-old Centralia man has been ordered held without bond on seven sex related offenses.
Ryan Goodwin of Jolliff Bridge Road in Centralia faces two counts apiece of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, and sexual exploitation of a child and a single count of harmful material. The incidents allegedly involved two underage girls between January and May 1st of this year.
Judge Wes Gozia found a real and present threat to others as well as the minor victim in ordering Goodwin be held without bond. He is next due in court for a preliminary hearing on May 19th.
The predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges claim he inappropriately touched the victims. The two sexual exploitation charges claim he exposed himself to the underage girls. The harmful material charge claims Goodwin showed a pornographic video to one of the alleged victims.
Goodwin was described in police reports as a babysitter for the alleged victims. One of the victims reported the incident to medical professionals at a doctor’s appointment on April 17th. She had reportedly been taken to the appointment by Goodwin. An investigation continued up to Goodwin’s arrest on May 1st.
