Iuka Police arrested 34-year-old Damien Stanford of East Camp Street in Iuka for failure to register as a sex offender. He was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a first court appearance.
The Salem Fire Protection District was called out late Monday afternoon to a report of a fallen tree limb bringing down a power line on North Franklin Street. Firemen stood by until the power line was removed.
