A Central City mobile home received significant damage from a Friday night fire.
Centralia Fire Protection District Chief Ross Boshera says the fire was at a home owned by Doug Myer and occupied by Jeff Skibinski at 307 Charlotte Street.
Heavy fire was coming from the living room and front door upon arrival. The fire was extinguished without incident.
Heavy damage was reported to the living room and kitchen, with smoke damage throughout the mobile home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal.
Assisting agencies included the Central City and Centralia Police Departments, Centralia Dispatch, and Lifestar ambulance.
Firemen were on the scene for about two hours, beginning at 9:03 pm.
