Richard L. Brown, of Centralia, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on July 21, 1950, he is the son of Orvial and Gladys (Garren) Brown.
Richard led a life dedicated to both his family and his community. Known as a man of simple pleasures, he enjoyed the tranquility of the countryside, often found tinkering with lawn mowers and expertly repairing pinball machines. His passion for fixing things extended into his professional life, where he worked in video repair, a job that combined his love for technology and his skill for making things work.
A proud veteran, Richard served with honor in the United States Army, where he developed a profound respect for duty and service that remained with him throughout his life.
Richard is survived by his son, Richard Brown, Jr. of Odin; his brothers, David Brown and Bobby Brown, both of Centralia, and Harold Brown of Centralia; and his sisters, Nancy Clark (Rick) of Ashley, Mary Warren of Centralia, and Dorothy Jose (Craig) of Centralia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Orvial Brown; his mother, Gladys Brown; his step-father, Loyd Conaway; his brother, Rodger Brown; his sister, Sandy Rollinson; and his brother-in-law, Ronnie Warren.
