Salem Police and Fire handled two crashes during the five o’clock hour on Wednesday afternoon.

The first crash occurred at 5:01 at Illinois and Boone Street where two vehicles collided in the intersection.   Police reports are not yet complete.  No one was transported from the scene to the hospital.

The second crash occurred at 5:51 when a car driven by 65-year-old Christopher Budds of 3rd Street in Kinmundy ran off of West Main near Cross Creek Boulevard.   The car jumped the curb at Rapid Roy’s Car Wash and came to a stop in the grassy area.  Police believe Budds suffered a medical issue and was not injured in the crash.  He was taken to Salem Township Hospital by United Medical Response for the medical condition.
