Dale married Shana Lane on April 19, 2017, and they later divorced.

He is also survived by his treasured daughters, Jera and Dani Wessel, of Centralia, who were his pride and joy. He will be dearly missed by his parents, Dale R. Wessel and wife Jodi of Carlyle, and Lori Fearing of Centralia, sisters: Melissa Wessel of Salem and Melinda Wessel of Centralia, as well as his brothers: Dustin Wessel of New Baden and Dylan Wessel of Carlyle. Dale’s memory will also be lovingly cherished by his nieces and nephews, Sean, Makaylah, Zachary, Andrew, David, Dallas, Lucas, and Waylon; his great-niece and nephew, Aurora and Jaxxon; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Dale was preceded in death by his sister, Danielle Wessel, grandparents: Shirley and Arnie Wessel, and Norma and Mark Stanton, as well as his Uncle, Ricky Wessel, and Aunt, Tammy Gentz, who now welcome him into Heaven.

For 21 years, Dale was a dedicated and valued cook at the Downtown Lounge, where he made lasting friendships and shared countless memories. He was known for his love of video gaming, fishing, and, in his younger years, skateboarding.
