Donna Dee Barnett, 98, of Sandoval, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026. She was born on December 14, 1927, in Odin Township, the daughter of Murfin and Sarah (Fulton) Mason. She married Kenneth Milburn Barnett on February 28, 1947, in Sandoval, and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1984.
Survivors include her children, Lynnette Miller of Centralia, Therese Nelson of Rockwall, TX, Kenneth (Aletta) Barnett of Daphne, AL, Marilee Laughlin of Eureka, MO, and Murfin (Denise) Barnett of Midland, TX; grandchildren, Christopher Smothers, Sarah Miller, Scott Miller, Matthew Rogers, Bryce Reed, , Murfin S. Barnett, Kyle Barnett, Whitney Barnett, Angella Collins; fifteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Robert D. Mason, Sister Marilyn Mason, and Patricia Boufford; extended family members, and friends.
Along with her husband, Kenneth Milburn Barnett, Donna was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Mary Lou Garza.
Donna worked for the Centralia Eye Clinic before her retirement. She was drawn to the beauty found in art and enjoyed painting unique creations. Donna was musically talented and loved to sing and listen to all her favorite songs. Quiet moments found Donna sitting with her sewing, reading and filling her heart with God’s Word with Bible study. She had quite the green thumb, growing flourishing gardens while grateful to be working in the sunshine. Donna was kind and caring, filled with faith, hope and love. Her family and friends will hold wonderful memories of Donna’s amazing life in their hearts.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Apostolic Church in Centralia, with Pastor Jonathan Urshan and Pastor Chris Smothers officiating. Interment will follow at the Andereck McClelland Cemetery in rural Sandoval. Relatives and friends are welcome to the visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made in Donna’s honor to Andereck McClelland Cemetery and will be accepted for her family at the Irvin Macz Funeral Home in Centralia.
