Linda Joann Shufeldt, 78, of Iuka, passed away on February 1st, 2026, at Countryside Manor in Mt. Vernon. She was born June 27th, 1947, to Lew and Phyllis (Patton) Miller in Muncie, Indiana. She would marry Charles Keith Shufeldt on August 20th, 1966, and they would spend 48 amazing years together until his passing.
Linda enjoyed camping, crocheting, painting, reading, cooking, and baking cakes for weddings and all other occasions. She worked as a beautician, a realtor, a cook, and a kitchen manager of the Salem Community High School Cafeteria. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Iuka Park with her husband and at the Marion County Relay for Life. She had a profound love for her son Will, her family, and the Lord.
Linda is survived by her son, William “Will” Shufeldt of Iuka; sisters: Terry (Ron) Jackson of Centralia and Marilou DuRall of Centralia; brother: Robert Miller of Centralia; sisters-in-law: Sue (Bob) Herr of Mt. Vernon and Mary Ann Shufeldt of Columbia, MO.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Lew and Phyllis Miller; husband: Charles K. Shufledt; stepfather: Ray Cody; brothers-in-law: David Shufeldt and Jim DuRall; and nieces: Melissa K. Herr and Becky (Jackson) Terry.
Cremation rites will be accorded, per family wishes. Interment will take place at a future date at Evergreen Cemetery in Kinmundy, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Relay for Life and will be accepted at Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home, PO Box 97, Salem, Illinois 62881.
