David Krietemeyer, 78, of Centralia, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025, at his home. He was born on August 5, 1947, in Centralia, the son of Kenneth “Bud” and Mary Lou (Knott) Krietemeyer. He married Sheila Futrell on November 9, 2012, and she preceded him in death on May 12, 2024.

Survivors include two sons, Chris Krietemeyer (Dee) and Mike Krietemeyer (Mitzi); granddaughters, Linzey, Ashley, and Brandy; grandson, Zachary; four great-grandchildren, Bryce, Hadley, Bella and Emma; brother, Jimmy Krietemeyer; nieces, Laura Reigel (Brad), Sherri Donoho (Perry); nephews, Chris Futrell (Jen), Dion Weems, (Reva); great-niece, Riley Hall; brother-in-law, Don Futrell (Connie); and extended family members, and friends.

Along with his wife, Sheila Futrell, David was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth “Bud” and Mary Krietemeyer.

David was a proud graduate of Centralia High School, Class of 1965. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam and in Germany from 1966 to 1968. He truly was a loyal employee of Wheaton Plastics in Centralia, working there for thirty-eight years. David was the third person hired in 1969, and he was the last one out when Wheaton closed. He was grateful to be a Grandpa, delighted to be a part of his grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s lives.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia, where he and his wife Sheila will be laid to rest together. Chaplain Joannie Naraghi will be officiating, and Military rites will be accorded by Centralia VFW Post 2055 and American Legion Post 446. Memorials may be made in David’s honor to Marion County Animal Control.
