The Salem Wildcats dropped a 13-11 decision to Mt Vernon on the road yesterday despite outhitting the Rams 12-4. Four errors 4 more unearned runs cost the Cats who trailed 7-2 after the second inning and 11-2 after four before scoring 9 runs in their final 2 at bats to get the game close. Brody Collier drove in 3 runs, Eli LoGrasso and Evan Barnes added 2 RBI with Carter Lowe, Aaden Rostance and Max Vincent adding RBI. Collier, Barnes, Logan Butts and Jaxson Ward were the pitchers for the Cats. Ty Pierce went all 7 innings for Mt Vernon and Cale Maurer drove in 4 runs with a grand slam.
