The IHSA 1a/2a State Baseball finals will have a new home for this year only. Due to a scheduling conflict with the Peoria Chiefs at Dozer Park, this year’s state finals will be played at Illinois Field on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign. According to the IHSA Executive Director Craig Anderson, Major League Baseball scheduled games at Dozer Park on Jun 6-7 and the Chiefs didn’t catch the conflict until it was too late.
