Two former Salem grads qualify for the MLF National Championship. The Wabash Valley College Bass Team competed in the MLF5 Abu Garcia College Series event on Grand Lake in Oklahoma. With a 146 boat field Hunter Russell and Richard Skiff weighed in 13 lbs. 8 oz. and a 7th place finish, while Brogan Gregg and Tyler Conrad had 11 lbs. 2 oz. for a 16th place finish which qualifies them for the 2026 Major League Fishing College National Championship. Wabash fishing team currently sits in the top 10 in National standings.
