Centralia won the Class L Salem Regional last night knocking off the host Bobcats 63-31 to advance to next weekend’s opening round of the SIJHSAA State Tournament at Rend Lake College.
Also in Class L, Casey Mt Vernon beat West Frankfort 47-24 to win the Region 3 title. Marion won the Region 2 title beating Massac County 54-27.
Today is the Class M opening round of the SIJHSAA State Tournament. The quarterfinals begin at 3:30 with Joseph Arthur taking on Wayne City followed by Goreville and Nashville at 4:45, Smithton will take on Shiloh at 6 and then NCOE and Pinckneyville Junior High play at 7:15.
