The Webber Township Trojans improved to 19-4 on the season with their biggest win of the year knocking off 3rd ranked Waltonville 78-75. The Spartans made a run late down 6 getting a foul and bucket and then a steal with 3 seconds left. Down by 3, their last second shot was off the mark and Webber handed Waltonville their first loss to a 1a school and Waltonville will win the Midland Trail Conference if they hold serve this week with their final games.
Nathaniel Marlow was amazing again going 16-of-18 from the free throw line leading all scorers with 42. It’s the 3rd time he’s gone over 40 points in a game this season and scored over 50 another time. Gage Peterson led Waltonville with 26 and Kyle Cooper added 20. The Spartans fall to 18-3.
