Franklin Park Girls Basketball Team Wins State Title

The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats won the program’s 2nd state basketball title with the Class L championship Saturday over Herrin 43-20.

Salem trailed 19-18 at the half but outscored the Lady Tigers 25-1 in the second half to pull away for the win. Kenna Benjamin led Salem with 17. Braelyn Knaak added 10 and Lexie Malan 8.
