Three people were checked for injuries but decline hospital treatment following a two car crash at North Broadway and Schwartz Street in downtown Salem Monday afternoon.

Salem Police say a car driven by a 17-year-old Salem juvenile boy was cross Schwartz Street when he didn’t give a car on North Broadway enough time to clear the intersection and hit the rear of the vehicle.  The impact caused the car on North Broadway driven by 63-year-old Karl Knight of Marion Street in Salem to spin around.  58-year-old Joyce Knight was a passenger in the vehicle.

The juvenile driver was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way at an intersection.

The crash occurred at 3:30 Monday afternoon.
