The Illinois Department of Employment Security says tax forms are now available for those who received unemployment benefits.

IDES Director Kristen Richards says whether you received regular unemployment benefits or benefits like Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, you will need to fill out a 10-99 form.

“The form is necessary for individuals who received either state or federal UI benefits when they go to file their taxes.  Unemployment insurance benefits are taxable income so they will need this information to file their returns.”

If you have already opted to receive the 10-99G electronically you should be getting an email, otherwise, the form will come in the regular mail.  You can also download it from the IDES website at ides.illinois.gov.
