Centralia High School is voluntarily shutting down for the rest of the week.
Principal Reid Shipley says the action is being taken due to a substantial increase in the number of students and staff on quarantine.
The shutdown will impact classes on Wednesday and Thursday since Tuesday was already a holiday due to the election. Friday is normally a remote learning day.
Shipley says they will return to in-person learning on Monday, November 9th.
The same meal delivery schedule will be used as in the past. Three days worth of lunches will be delivered on Wednesday for the rest of the school week.
School offices will be closed Thursday and Friday for cleaning and disinfecting.
