Three people have been arrested in connection with three separate burglaries around Marion County.
Bond was set at $10,000 for 54-year-old Daniel Putt of Glenwood Acres in Salem when he was formally charged in Marion County Court on Tuesday with burglary for allegedly kicking in a door and entering the Mad Hatter Tattoo Parlor at 119 East Main Street on Sunday night. Salem Police report tattooing equipment and a safe were removed. Video from the business allegedly showed Putt who was known to the business since he had received a tattoo last week. The safe and some of the tattoo equipment was found behind the building. More equipment was allegedly found at Putt’s home where he was taken into custody by Salem Police on Monday afternoon. Putt had the public defender appointed to represent him.
Centralia Police have arrested 23-year-old Jacob White of Devonia Drive in Centralia for a residential burglary to a home in the 300 block of South Pine on October 25th. The homeowner allegedly saw a person he knew as White running from the back door when he came home. Video from ring doorbell also allegedly showed White. He was taken into custody when a passenger in a traffic stop Monday at 4th and Pine. White was also arrested for possession of meth after under five grams of meth was allegedly found in his possession. White was formally charged in court Tuesday with the possession of meth. Bond was set at $3,000 and the public defender appointed. As part of release on bond, he was ordered to have no drugs or alcohol.
Central City Police arrested 31-year-old Lacy Hietkamp of Morton Lane in Kell for theft, driving on a revoked license, and violation of an order of protection. Central City Police were taking a complaint from a resident in the 100 block of East Marvin about a burglary at her mobile home which she said Hietkamp had admitted in a text message when Hietkamp pulled into the driveway. She allegedly fled out the passenger door and ran on foot, but was caught a short distance away and was taken into custody with the assistance of a Centralia Police Officer. Hietkamp had allegedly tried to gain entry to a neighboring home where she was prohibited leading to the violation of an order of protection charge. She was formally charged in court Tuesday with felony theft between $500 and $10,000. Bond was set at $5,000 and the public defender appointed. She was ordered to have no drugs or alcohol if released from custody.
