A 49-year-old Centralia woman has turned herself in at the Marion County Jail on a Marion County misdemeanor warrant. Bond on the warrant for Chandala Clark of East 3rd was set at $5,000.
56-year-old Jerry Van Houtin of Markland Street in Salem was arrested by Salem Police on an outstanding Effingham County misdemeanor failure to appear warrant in a bad checks case. Houtin was taken to the Marion County Jail when unable to post $5,000 bond.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department was notified by Martin’s Service Center in the 1800 block of West Main that several vehicles parked at the business had been entered sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning.
