A 53-year-old Mt. Vernon woman was airlifted by medical helicopter from the scene of a four-wheeler crash north of Mt. Vernon Saturday afternoon.
Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Bullard says Kristie Morgan of North Austin Lane was attempting to turn from Toll Road onto East Green Road when she rounded the corner too fast and the four-wheeler rolled over in the roadside ditch throwing her from the vehicle.
A medical helicopter landed on the scene and transported Morgan to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana for treatment of injuries.
No other vehicle was involved and Morgan was alone on the four-wheeler.
The crash was reported at 2:06 on Saturday afternoon.
